The LEAD pan is our most popular instrument for individuals who have little or no experience at playing a steel drum. It is referred to as the cycle of 5ths pan as well as the single tenor pan. You can play a wide variety of compositions (calypso to classical) on this pan. The level of satisfaction this pan will deliver is unmatched regardless of your musical experience. The Lead pan is primarily used to play the melody and is used as a solo or comp instrument. Because all notes are on a single drum it is generally more user friendly than the multi-drum instruments. Therefore it is the pan of choice for many.
